Some good places near joberg would be in pretoria/midrand. Not sure what you're lookin at flying. If it's just hour building on a basic single/twin ... there are lots of flying schools based in Pretoria (Wonderboom) & Grand Central.
I went to a school in pretoria to get my PPL & Night Rating. Was a good deal, and you can get plenty of flying done. Weather is probably getting better now...since the rains should be over soon. I might be going back there in March to do some hour building myself. Plenty of scenic places to visit near the area if you'd like that too.
Anyway, PM if you have need any more info. I could get you some info on flying at Wonderboom, know a bunch of people there.
