US Airways' A330s are-323X models, with a significantly higher MTOW (233t) than EI's,which are the baseline models (indeed, some come from the original Air Inter order for five);these have an MTOW of 215t (if I recall correctly).

The aircraft could possibly be retrofitted,but would probably be unable to reach ORD and would be confined to BOS/JFK routes.The extra weight of the PTVs, wiring and all of the equipment needed for a modern IFE system would not make this an attractive proposition, particularly if they could only be used on two routes.
