Hey all..
I recently met someone who came here from the UK and was telling me a bit about the industry overseas. I've heard there are more opportunities abroad for a new commercial pilot such as myself (250hrs), but from what I've read it still seems very questionable. Currently I work the ramp for a small airline with hopes to get on a light twin turbine in the next year or so, but should I be pursuing a "heavy metal" airline job overseas? I've heard about the JAA conversions, but what I'm more conserned with at this point is how eligible would I be, especially considering I have no direct way of obtaining citizenship that I know of.
Unfortunately I don't have any family connections in the UK, and all I have is my grandpa who was born in Germany with some family I'd have to trace there. What are the chances of these airlines sponsoring a work visa for a Canadian pilot?
Just looking for
any advice or info from anyone who knows something about flying overseas for new commercial pilots.
Thanks
