Slasher, your source is correct. AN also insisted that no 89er could be involved in training their hero (and, probably more importantly, non-hero) pilots when they trained on the 747 with SQ (after their first five very senior captains onto the 747 failed the QF conversion course).

Rabish Binny, in answer to your query, the URL to the hero’s list has been posted somewhere on this site in the last day or two. You’ll find that anyone who joined after March 90 isn’t on the list – although many of the joiners in the months immediately after March know full well that they wouldn’t have been accepted into AN (or TN) had they not applied while the ‘war’ was still in progress. Call them very lucky men and women who still have clean slates. Officially at least.
