Codeshare is simply the use of multiple flight numbers on a single operated flight. I can only guess you heard "coach air" over the phone!!!
Furthermore, on any flight (codeshare or not) u will have s.l.f. carrying tickets from all sorts of carriers.

But which ever way it is this was terminated by Gulf Air and Nationwide have now lost yet another partnership which may have brought some good revenue in....
