Well if an airline wants to fly a route then their is nothing an airport can do as long as there are no legal restrictions..ie political..like the shannon stopover. The airline may not receive any marketing support or start up discounts which is the norm at alot of airports. But as long as it pays all the published fees then for an airport to try stop the route would be discrimination. It would have to be a bloody good route for an airline to take that path but maybe Air Wales know more than we do about its potential...personally i think its a winner..a 48 seater twice a week between two lesiure destinations during the summer...cant go wrong..or can it?!!
