Hope that puts the record straight!
Renown have never been involved in any Channex training. The a/c was owned, crewed, maintained & operated by Renown & was on lease to Channel. Unluckily there was a Channel L/M onboard & a jumpseating Channel eng. Failure to heed a GPWS warning followed by its subsequent deselection played a large part in the incident. As for the Electra trailing oil,Electras always trail oil!
