Use a freebie synchronisation package such as
Allway Synch to synchronise the two directories over the LAN.
You will need to decide whether to install on one, the other or both depending upon how you use the network.
Should work fine unless you make independant changes to the same file on both machines, at which point the later will overwrite the earlier when you synchronise.
