how does it know it's stationary if it's suffering with erroneous ground speeds?
You tell it. Therefore ANY GS is erroneous and is electronically nulled. 'Excessive movement' during alignment will negate alignment.
Of course - it isn't ACTUALLY 'stationary'.....................
