I'm not sure! The CG of the Schweizer is primarily derived from the limits of control movement and the flapping limits of the rotor. The clipped corners are right-aft and left-forward. Fuel tanks and PIC position are immaterial to the CG envelope (they only affect the position of the CG
within the envelope).
So I can't see the reason. There's no problem moving the cyclic forward-left and aft-right (in fact it's the aft-left position that's the biggest problem if you have a left-PIC or the dual controls in). This is really going to vex me until I know the answer...
