Yes, fair enough to say that jet experience counts more then turboprop. But that leaves you with two options. RJ at your current company ot going loco! The question is are you happy right now in the company where you are? If the answer is yes, well then why choose to get exploited by a low cost just because it is a 737?
Ultimately you will find out that lifestyle is most important. That point came for me a couple of years after the age that you have now. And given the choice between a loco or another jet job, it was not that difficult. Much better conditions, then with the low costs and an enjoyable life.
By the way I have stayed with the tp a little while longer then you have and I added 1000 hours of command. I was having little problems with my cv in these relative good times to get attention from different airlines including some of those big carriers you are interested i so much, so donīt believe all that they are saying here about getting stuck on the tp. It is all a matter of the time of the cycle. Three years ago a type rating on concorde would probably be called not enough experience

, now you are quite ok with a few thousand hours of tp (with a normal age/experience level and some command).
Donīt join the rat race if you donīt have to and you donīt have to in your position. Itīs about where you will be happy, the rest will come, believe me, I had to choose last year between four jobs in the end!
