On the point of law, Bose-x is correct, there is nothing to prevent a G-reg private flight in the UK from navigating onto a runway from solid IMC using nothing more than a lucky conker.
Doubtless he has a similar approach to landing at his home field.
It is a shame that the reticent approach taken by the UK regulator to the adoption of GPS for approaches makes this kind of technique seem underhand.
With a more positive approach to GPS there is no reason why most fields couldn't have their own non-precision approaches.
