There is nothing preventing me from using an unpublished procedure on a private flight, there is nothing preventing me from using a GPS in fact my GPS is a BRNAV certified GNS 430 along with a 296.
There is nothing preventing me flying along in IMC to my hearts content and descending from IMC to land.
You can take or leave my attitude on this one, my use of these various aids over nearly 2000hrs has not presented a problem. If I choose to fly a training procedure IMC or VMC in class G then that is my concern.
Lets not make up rules that don't exist, there are enough real rules to contend with!
