This is Transat's way to wind everybody up and get them to think that there will be expansion and job security..
Instead of listening to what they say (heard it all before, especially during negotiations) watch what they do. (subcontract and REDUCE number of aircraft types).
The idea that the company could plan ahead by 4 years is ridiculous. 6 months is usually an effort.
Also, the 310's have been promised to Fedex, so the new planes will be replacements as you said (if they come), not growth.
Management has said publicly that 12 planes is their optimum size.
