It's been expediant for airlines like sleazyJet and Ryanair to take advantage of SARS, 9/11 etc to flog this pay for the rating shyte so they found cashed-up lads/ladess's willing to part with their money, paying inflated bond schemes.
They end end up bottom heavy with low-time crew and very short of Captains. Reap what you sow.
