On the subject of expansion on the charter side of Newcastle's route network, what ever happened to the new routes by Kosmar Holidays, Thomas Cook, TUI Group and MyTravel as described in the thread
'Charter 2006' some time ago.
Among new routes mentioned were Rimini, Tenerife North, Ponta Delgada, Lisbon, Mykynos, Samos among a few others. The only one that was mentioned that has gone on sale, though postponed for the time being is MYT to AGA.
There was also many other rumours a while back, such as Travel City Direct to SFB and EI returning on the DUB run.
