I have joined Volare with their 4th aircraft, from Air Europe. By then it was clear to me that AEL was on thin ice. The above mentioned gentleman sardo insisted in meeting me on joining. So, it was plain clear to me where was the limit of that establishment. Close to the limit, I bailed out. Me to greener pastures, him to carcere. The whole procedure was soiled by episodes of human (pilot's) stupidities. The pilots I used to train overnite becoming my trainers on the back of friendships from before (air force or other) with the decision makers at VLE and nothing else. Lecca-cu**i everywhere.
VLE started as a joke charter went into scheduled and than into loco. Ran out of spin.
Only because of the gent with Maroni avoiding pre-electoral bad publicity have the VLE pilots been spared the total demise (Duce, grazie per la Cassa Integrazione). Just crossed my mind: even before the sardo was a factor in AEL, gentillissimo Pepe put his office workers in CI (Duce, grazie ancora).
