Helicopter Charter Pricing Policy

When charging for ad hoc helicopter general charter services we will quote more if the end user is a company rather than a person using our service for private purposes. We will also charge a further premium if the customer is making money directly out of the use of the helicopter (e.g. filming, photography, etc.).

I sometimes wonder whether this is an ethical pricing policy. The supporters of this policy argue, for example, that you will pay more per unit of space for industrial premises than you would for residential premises and therefore it is acceptable to charge someone who is making money out of using our helicopter services a higher rate than someone who is using it for private / recreational use.

What do you think? What is your company’s policy?
