There was a report on ATI a few days ago, saying that this would be launched in January, "on a more modest scale than originally suggested." Apparently the original plan had called for 10 Airbuses but the current plan is for leased A320s to three mainland European destinations from Belfast (so I assume that's one or max two aircraft).

Interestingly it appears from the report that BBC NI have commissioned an "Airline"-type series following the progress of the airline's launch.

So much for the ATI report. Now a serious question from me: where on earth can you successfully fly to as a start-up from Belfast with A320s? Hahn? Bordeaux? Milan? (I'm reaching here...) And where is there an iota of sustainable competitive advantage, that'll allow you to defend your one- or two-aircraft airline against an easyJet or a FlyBE deciding that you've amused them enough and it's time to take you out?
