From what I hear, seems to me that although the aircraft has been on ground, the NCAA wanted to go to Seattle,WA to audit Boeing even though Boeing has a rep in the VK offices in LOS. They were foot-dragging on validating the Training captains licences(who aren't Nigerian, aircraft is on Nigerian register).
As soon as the latest accident happened, suddenly everything is now moving ahead and the VK 733 pilots are now being checked out before it goes into commercial service.
