Don't worry. I had over 400 hours when I calmly bounced the aircraft down the runway, wih my boss checking me for an LPC

I knew exactly why it happened* so was not too concerned, but the point is we all foul up landings sometimes. You are now starting to see why you are struggling, which not only allows you to address it but to feel less bad about it.
*and it was partly his fault - all instructors out there, don't start to debrief a student in the flare - especially in a 172 when he's used to a 152 and hasn't flown for a while! I learned a valuable lesson that day about instructing
