Thus SOH is comparing his flight to the Bell 206 flight of 1994 and thus the absolute record still stands as the Bell 430 flight of 1996.

Perhaps Johan is targetting the late Steve Good's RTW flight? Steve had an N-reg 500D based in the UK and abided by the "cross all lines of longitude" rule then in place - I believe the "distance of at least the Tropic of Cancer" came in later.

That just meant going to the North Pole and flying round it....
