Often but not in the case of easyJet. The fight is between the union and the employer. Joe Public just suffers the consequences.
The firefighters were replaced by the Army hence they needed public opinion on their side as they couldn't hold their employers by the short and curlies....public opinion makes no difference in this fight as we can hold our employer by the short and curlies
