Could not agree with you more. The thought of long haul flights with tired,hungry pax looking through their 'jetshop cafe' menu for a meal scares me. I fear that levels of air rage will increase as pax will be fed up with putting their hand back into their pockets to reach for more cash to pay for items which they have not had to in the past. They will be tired, hungry and thirsty and this is not something the Japanese in particular will go along with - hence why I truly believe that rumours surrounding the closure of AO are garbage.
There is still a place for a LCC full service leisure carrier. One only hopes that some of the new a/c on the order list end up painted in ochre.
