Last time I read up on this, you could actually do the JAR hour in a PFA aircraft with a PFA coach who isn't an instructor! (which surprised me somewhat), but you can only pay expenses (which didn't surprise me somewhat). I'll ask a certain engineer who will probably know the very lastest...
