I miss my MEL overnights!!!
Summer in Melbourne is the best - you will have a great time. It really depends on what you're into - shopping, nightlife, eating out, art and culture, the beach - it's all there. Here's a few ideas, but excuse me if I'm a bit rusty, been over a year and a half since my last one.
Get trams - better than walking and great way to see city and surrounds.
Go to St Kilda and hang out on the esplanade. The Eat Street Cafe is tres chic, and they do/ did awesome seafood.
Tram to Chappel Street in Prahan - once again, very cool place - loads of trendy bars, cafes, fantastic shopping and some of the most beautiful people I've seen if you like people watching (or maybe a bit more
)
QVB is a new (ish) shopping mall in the city. Check out Little Collins Street as well.
China Town in the City is great for a look around and some fantastic authentic asian cuisine.
Just pop on your Birki's love and go for a wander. And ask the Aussie pax.
