AN ASIAN Spirit plane overshot the Catarman runway in Samar upon arrival at 6:46 a.m. Monday.
There were no reported injuries among the 32 passengers and six crewmembers of Flight 6K 587 and the aircraft suffered only minimal damage.
Asian Spirit Inc. airport operations manager Rodolfo Garcia said an initial investigation showed the plane skidded due to water on the runway as it was drizzling when the plane touched down.
Probably more than drizzling as there is a tropical depression just NE of Mindinao at present, which is just a bit south of Samar.
