May I wish the C402 pilots good luck and good hunting for new jobs and I hope that they have been spending their nights doing their ATPL instead of down at the Vic

I am feeling a bit misty myself as we are seeing the final curtain for a type that will now disappear even more rapidly from this industry than most would wish.

As one of the many who operated the first of these types C411/401 and PA31-310 from brand spanking new (I suspect some of them are still around too) and went on through all the later versions up to when they stopped building them. We brought the last new C310R into the country and BTW the last production C185.

That was getting on to over 34 years ago.

The end of this era has been coming for some time but its actual arrival is nonetheless surprising.
