My apologies for the tardy reply. At my age things slow down however at least they remain as clear as gin. Allan and Kierie, my lord, are old buggers like us still remembered. Pritchard the FE? The inventor of the fridge on the 747!
I have many memories of what went on in those days. It was a fantastic operation and I enjoyed swapping ties. However things started to change when these young upstarts thought they knew it all. You see DP was a very good operator. He had what it takes and didn’t need telling all in sundry about his aviation prowess. PBany on the other hand was decidedly average. He resorted to underhanded tactics and has obviously relied on these tactics to further his career. Lets be sure of one thing, NONE of these jokers would have made it in any other airline. Its only the extreme third world that nominates DFO’s and CP’s based purely on seniority. Speaking of which do they still have a two-tier seniority system?
