Ive failed my medical for my NATS application due to a heart condition called brugada. Otherwise known as Sudden unexpected death syndrome. I believe Gabby Yoraths brother
(son of Terry Yorath) died suddenly at the age of 15 playing football in his garden.
Was due to start this Dec training in Bournemouth
Gutted. Going to see a specialist and the treatment, seems in America alot of patients are fitted with there own defibrillator which when detects the heart going into a rapid pulse shocks it back into normal rhythm.
Glad i applied for NATS though and have had the condition diagnosed.
