Seasonal figures. EasyJet reports twice yearly - interims and finals, unlike RYR which reports only once a year i.e. finals.
Most carriers make a loss through the winter period, but this is offset by the summer period when they (should) make their money.
Last years full figures for EJ were a PROFIT of about £52 million with this years figures expected to be broadly the same despite a significant increase in fuel costs.
To summarise - easyJet IS a profitable company.
