The reason it doesn't work is that the 'codec' or code to make it work is owned by someone other than Microsoft, so they would have to pay a fee for every copy of windows. Not a problem you might say but if you own a company and have 50,000 pcs it would cost £100,000 at £2 per licence when you may not even have a DVD drive in your computer. You need to download a free one such as
this one . Now I just did a quick google search and this came up so I don't know if it works, or contains spyware or whatever. But if you wish you can do a search yourself using the phrase DVD program and see what comes up. Apparently, although I haven't watched it myself, it's not as good as the first one (and I'm only saying that 'cos I know some of the people in them!)
