i did it, and, although i am not sure of your intentions, but i would think it better for you to do the jar atpl exams.
then you would do the cpl and instrument flight tests, and end up with a frozen atpl, unfrozen as soon as you gain a multi pilot type rating and 500 hours multi crew.
not like sa where you have to do cpl exams before atpl.
