with the amount of hrs you have I recomment that you take the rating and Use them before they can use (abuse) you.Fly 6-12 months and leave them in a blink of an eye.
If you dont do this you might end up like 2 of our most senior FO's
who have more hrs on type then most of our captains.
Story is:
" they started 7,5 years ago, applied for ATPL exams. Done the exams. But never gotten the license."
Why? T.r.k K.l.f.t , OF at the time told the TR-CAA not to issue them the ATPL, They have been told that their results were lost.
So they had to do a new exam but now under JAA syllibus.
They realised that nomatter what, it would not make a difference, so refused to do this.
In the same time period F/O Oz.. Sari..... applied at the office of OF T.K. to do the ATPL exams ( t - 3,5 years from now,april).
Fact is and this is a FACT he never had to do an ATPL exam.
In june/july when you fly the most he had is ATPL in his pocket.
Another fact is he is by now CAPTAIN without the ATPL knowledge. IF you will ask him where/when he did his exams, he will 'convince' you that he did this during his military career."
Not getting a license issued like that is having no scrupelous about human values or life and to me this is a criminal act.
Now I encourage you and all others who read this get your type and then buzz off with 1200 hrs on type ( 12 months) dont be afraid of a service bond, under european law this is not legal.
