Well, Ryan made the money and MOL crossed his path in life.
MOL is bright and very capable but you need good fortune on the way. I don't mean luck, luck is winning the lottery.
Fortune is trying your best with a plan and it works out.
MOL is very very replaceable, no question. What happens is and it's a bit like politicians, they weave a web around themselves and structure it to support themselves.
Like the well known fact (though not really in the public domain)about the RYR website. Well when your boss hijacks your idea and takes the credit you can't do much.
The guy has talent, no doubt. If you call him thick you disarm your own argument. It's obvious he is bright and a great communicator. But he is no genius.
Much over-rated.
In realative terms, the guy at Aer Arann achieved much much more.
