Here’s your opportunity to be a Test Pilot for a worldwide carrier that includes flying multiple aircraft such as the 737, 747, 757, 767, 777, and Airbus.
As a Flight Test Captain, you will:
Test aircraft on the ground and flight to check operations and performance.
Manage assigned duties and projects.
Check normal and emergency systems on overhauled and factory-accepted aircraft within acceptable tolerances as outlined in the specific UA Flight Manual and Flight Test Manual.
Provide a troubleshooting capability to Line Maintenance for peculiar or chronic aircraft problems.
Fly all Non-Routine Flight Operations Group II.
Fly Maintenance Ferry flights as assigned.
Fly all test flights such as diagnostic, heavy maintenance and maintenance validation.
Fly other flights as directed.
Perform related duties as assigned, such as writing and revising flight test procedures, performing qualitative and quantitative engineering flight tests on aircraft, evaluating systems on proposed projects and current aircraft, and maintaining required proficiency level on each type of aircraft.
This job requires extensive travel, flexibility, and the ability to fly multiple aircraft world-wide. Home base domicile requirement: SFO
REQUIRED
EDUCATION: College degree in engineering, mathematics, or other sciences.
EXPERIENCE:
Extensive background in flying different aircraft for maintenance, production, and/or experimental test flight.
TRAINING:
Pilot graduate of a military test pilot school or the National Test Pilot School with a minimum of 2,000 hours flight time in high performance jet aircraft.
FAA Airman's Certificate with Airline Transport Pilot rating and current FAA Class I Medical.
