Nobody disagrees that ANZ was incredibly naive and inept when it shafted SQ to get the second 50% of AN, but do you really believe that everything fell over in the last 12 months.
AN has been on life support for a verrrry long time. Blame Murdoch, Abeles, Hawke and Kelty. Study history, talk to old employees about Sir Reg and get a feel for what the modern day MBA has done for aviation.
Stop being RACIST. This is about individuals who ****ed up, not about countries.
Sure, Australia is disadvantaged by 60,000 unemployed aviation workers, but hopefully many will get a job soon.
And i don't think it's worth the other 19,004,000 Australians to go to war over.
Learn from what happened, and get upset with the morons that allowed it to happen. Maybe some of the 16,000 AN employees knew that their company wasn't managed well. Why petition the government now, after the airline is closed.
