Thumbs up

Lame tomorrow, November 5 is my dad's birthday. 78 going on 16. On his 3rd WRX and loving it!

He is a veteran of the Middle East, New Guinea and Borneo in the 'Big One', and Hiroshima with the BCOF after the 'Big Bang'. He lied about his age to join up at age 16. A truer Aussie you'd be hard pressed to find....

I know this is PRE-1971, but Slasher will back me up on this one!

From "Aircraft" November 1967, an advertisement:
"How Can Both Airlines Be The Same? We've got Susan Jones.
Twenty-two-years old Susan is an Ansett-ANA air hostess, 1967 model. She's the result of everything we've learned in over 30 years about the gentle art of caring for people who fly.
It's her charm and know-how that win people. She knows how to serve a gin and tonic, stop a nose-bleed, massage a bruised ego, distract children, quietly put a pillow under your head, light your cigarette, hand you your paper - and how to say the word that cheers after you've had one hell of a day.
Susan knows how to make flying time fly. Will she be on your flight? We have lots of Susan Joneses. No matter which one is watching over you, you'll get the message: Ansett-ANA CARES FOR YOU ALL THE WAY

If you want a scanned copy, send me an email. It's a classic!

I've got more
