No, United pick up passengers in their OWN country and fly them to and from another. AirNZ pick up passengers in SOMEBODY ELSES country and fly them to and from SOMEBODY ELSES country. QF fly people to and from the US offering them a stop-over in Aukland. Nobody flies from NZ to the US with a stop-over in Australia!
