I have an awful feeling that when the Oz Securities Commission delivers its findings there may be a deafening silence from the their side of the ditch.
Nobody disputes the ego driven stupidity of the Air NZ board paying what it did for Ansett. I still think
strategically it was the right move. Air NZ
has to be in the biggest market in the region.
Out of interest; both Eddington (1 day) & McRae (2 weeks) went very soon after the deal was done. What did they know and
when did they know it? McRae's body language when Selwyn & Lachlan were declaring the 'Win/Win' on TV was fascinating!!
