Freecall is used only when details have not been passed
Why then do two neighbouring units bother to take all the details and then say "freecall" the traffic? IMHO the Mil regs are a bit too anal for today (with good, cluttter-free radar and SSR most of the time)... and, I think I'm right in saying, that
most of this comes from teaching on JATCC... another example of Shawbury elaborating the regs for their own purposes, but teaching them as gospel (RNGrommits Pse Note)?
