Hi,
I have recently finished the BSc at LondonMet obtaining a first, I did it full time and can honestly say it is a really good degree. The civil aviation dept is a very knowledgable and commited department, although to be frank are let down by the administration of the university itself.
I was the first year to complete the course as i am sure you are aware it is quite a new programme, but do not let this put you off, the department is very receptive to feedback and suggestions and i feel happy to reccommend them.
the course content is valuable and a good use of guest speakers and the knowledge of individual lecturers has allowed me to enter the world of work (BAA) with the confidence that i have obtained a good grounding in all aspects of the industry.
As with any degree, uni is what you make it, i left the halls of residence as i'm a country girl and didn't really suit Bethnal Green, if you are looking for a campus uni then of course, this really isn't the place for you, there will always be a high drop out rate with the London Uni's; lots of overseas students get home sick, lots of British students either run out of money or become accustomed to London living and go out a bit too much!
Overall I have no regrets and if aviation is the area you want to get into, a really good place to start.
If you are put off, Loughborough and Cranfield also offer similar courses.
