Re-heat,

That's interesting, and I don't doubt your claim (!) about the insurance issue in your airline, but certainly in our airline this is not the case. We always used to use the line 'you will not be insured' if a pax were to get up when the FSB was switched on but when HQ heard we were saying this, they said that tgis was not true. What is true is that they will not have a leg to stand on (quite literally, in some cases!) if they were to try and sue.

I'm going to find out the exact wording though this week and let you know what they say.

When pulling onto stand at the end of every sector (sometimes we do 6 a day!) I always ask pax to remain seated til the FSB is switched off which 99% of the time does the job.

For those who don't know the reason for the FSB being left on while the engines are running on stand, this is to stop people getting up, opening the lockers and blocking the aisles with their baggage. All the while the engines are running there is a fire risk. Fire=Evacuation, and evacuating with bags blocking the aisles ain't safe.
