its a tricky situation... they could crap on about duty of care and soforth. in the end, by law they are required to follow the instructions of the aircrafts crew, and any approved signage, whether it be fixed, or illuminated.
which i think begs the question, why dosent the airline come back at them with the approach, you broke the law and endangered crew/pax with a human/infant missile... surely thatd scare em off...
Either way, (and parents with babies are always the worst), when it comes to the cruch theres always people silly enough to believe that they/or their babies are exempt from the laws of gravity and inertia.
I found one colleagues approach interesting, 'mam, please strap in baby, ive cleaned enough infants off the front bulkhead this week to last me a lifetime...'
