Not another FMC question!

Okay, just one more 767 FMC question.

This is the set-up for the 737 NG. You've planned and activated an ECON cruise speed, however before the descent you select a speed 20-30 kts lower than that for the ECON descent speed meaning the aircraft must decelerate from the cruise speed in the descent. Easy, the 737 NG powers back and decelerates just prior to the TOD. However, is this true for the 767? I’ve heard the 767 will follow the VTI at TOD point without decelerating and the speedbrakes must be utilised early in the descent to retard the speed back to the pre-programmed VNAV descent speed. Is this true?
