Sure.
On the ground, at low RPMs, doesn't seem to reduce the noise particularly.
You'll notice the difference when the aircraft is airborne and the RPMs are up. Quite a reduction in the sound.
Main thing too is it apparently doesn't affect the performance one jot.
..............and even quieter with a four blade prop !
