Light Aircraft Silencers
I'm just coming to the end of a project to re-engine my Luscombe with an 0-200 which has had the unfortunate side effect of me having to use an original exhaust system. As these are 'straight through' pipes I'm anticipating a large increase in noise! With the original C85 I used to have a Hanlon Wilson system which really knocked the noise down and was often commented on by strip owners. Now, here's where I'd like to pick your brains! Has anyone any experience of buying/using/fitting any of the add-on systems, i.e. the Leise or other types? I know the're all very expensive but then it is 'aeroplane money'!!!! I bet there's an expert out there!
