Reading through the QANTAS Annual Report and notice that that out of 24 747-400 in service that 8 are on operating leases. With the 767-300ER fleet they say out of 29 that 12 are on operating leases. I know some of the 767's are ex-BA and have been here for some time but the question is, are the operating lease aircraft the older units in the fleet or newer aircraft?
Could they be setting up for the new fleet, return to leasor(s)?
Anyone know?
