OK, please excuse my limited artistic ability but here goes:
Now the lower end of the pitch link is attached at the 90 degree point on the swashplate.
I'm not a mechanincal engineer so please don't get hung up on criticising
details of the proposed solution. Like I say, the point is that there do
exist mechanical solutions that would give you a 90 degree phase angle with the coning hinges .
