One of the boys this year has a missus and a kid - so there's nothing stopping you.
Did you notice the cost?!?!? "At least" $88k sans accomodation! Blimey! That's a lot to fork out with no guaranteed job at the end. In very very rough dollar per hour terms that's over $400/hour. That sort of money can buy a lot of hours, all the theory, exams, and R&Q for the term of a full time CPL / MECIR / ATPL theory course.
Well - that's what it is - a 13 month course which takes you from zero to hero. From nothing to CPL/MECIR with ATPL's. And if you're good enough (which most of, if not all of them are), you get a nice job flying Metro's, Jetstreams, Dash 8's, Brasillia's - the world is your oyster! 2 years of this and then you jump in the back of a 744 of an A380.
Hell - last year's Cadets are off to Singapore and Toulouse on Tuesday - you guessed it - A320 ratings - let's fly Jetstar! Imagine that - going from a Seminole to a Scarebus?!?!
Good luck with your endeavours - be prepared to work hard, it definitely pays off.
Cheers,
Soulman
